This mini lesson includes a PowerPoint that introduces tips to spotting adverbs in sentences. It includes examples to practice as a whole class. I designed and have used it in my classroom as a flipped session. The language is easy enough students can watch and practice independently. Also included is an activity in which students travel around the room to spot adverbs in sentences. For additional practice or a quick assessment 2 worksheets are in the packet as well. The first worksheet asks students to identify the adverb. The second worksheet asks students to choose an appropriate adverb to complete the sentence.
Applies to CCSS L.2.1e use adjectives and adverbs, and choose between them depending on what is to be modified.
