Description
With this set of creative writing activities, students are encouraged to think about instruments as real people and apply the knowledge they have about the instruments and their families. What would happen if an instrument decided to take a trip out on the town? Where would they go? What would they be doing? What if the instrument family was a real family? Would the kids get along? Who would the parents be? What would they have for dinner? These are just a few of the questions that students are asked to think and write about with these exciting activity packs!
I find that my students always learn the best when they can connect with a story or a character. That’s why things like “Solfa Street” or “Note Neighborhood” are so successful because they bring to life a concept that can be pretty abstract. Why not give the instruments a story? Why not bring them to life!?
Use the activity packs for whole-class instruction, in centers, or for homework!
