Spring Activities Freebie: Spring Activities Responding to Reading Cards...'Tweet About It!'
This Spring Activities freebie includes really cute little birds who like to ‘tweet.’ They can be used in lots of ways. One thing I am going to do is have my students ‘tweet’ about their independent reading each day. This is a great way for me to quickly assess the kinds of things they are thinking as they read. It also shows me what they think is important from their reading. I like that there is not a lot of room to write because I want to be able to see if my students can pull out the most important pieces of what they are reading. This is an open-ended chance for students to share what they were thinking during reading. They might write a question, retell a part of their reading, give an opinion, and so on.
I also included some adorable bees with flowers. Students can answer the question, “What’s the buzz?.” I hope you and your students enjoy these task cards. I would LOVE to know how you are using them in your classroom. I really enjoy reading feedback!!
Included in this resource:
*Reproducible cards for students to ‘tweet’ their thinking after reading. These are in a variety of colors and also black and white
*Reproducible ‘what’s the buzz?’ cards for a fun variety. These are also available in color and black and white.
