To help my students practice writing fractions, equivalent fractions, common denominators, and measurement, I developed this resource to use in conjunction with scientific observations and hypotheses. With spring on its way, we spend time discussing conservation and the environment. This is a fun, interactive product that can tie Math and Science to the real world! It can also be used as a starter for a school garden.
- growing medium (potting soil, etc.)
- Pea seeds
- Bean seeds
- Carrot seeds
- Measuring spoons
Students will be able to write fractions comparing the success of their seeds to the rest of the class by using equivalent fractions and common denominators.
