Product Description
This is an activity which focuses on vocabulary, sentence structure and articulation. It has a total of 8 pages.
Page 3 is a picture of a frog. You can copy this on green paper. Cut on the dotted line so the tongue can go through it.
Page 4 has fly pictures. Cut these out for the students. Each student gets one to glue at the bottom of the tongue.
Page 5 and 6 are the articulation tongues. Sounds targeted are- /s/, /z/, /s/blends, /th/ voiced, /th/unvoiced, /r/, /sh/, /ch/, /k/, /g/ and /l/. I made a blank tongue so you could use it for a sound not listed.
I have the students take turns saying the word or using the word in a sentence.
Page 7 focuses on vocabulary. Targeted goals are- category level one, category level two, synonyms, antonyms and multiple meaning words.
I have the students (category) label 3 items in each category, (synonyms) give me a synonym for each word, (antonyms) give me an antonyms for each word or (multiple meaning words) tell me both definitions.
Page 8 focuses on sentence structure. Targeted goals are- nouns, verbs, adjectives, irregular plural, irregular past tense and pronouns.
I have the students use each word in a sentence.
