“Spring Bee Bot Mat Flowers and Shapes” is made of 27 printed 15cm x 15 cm squares that are to be cut out and assembled any way you want into a bee bot mat. Each square features a Spring flower with a shape outline printed on it. There is also a “Start” square to place anywhere you want the bee bot to start.
The mat once assembled can be used as a bee bot mat where it will be used with the programmable bee bot robot for robotic lessons.
From a stack of cards, each player picks up one card and follows instructions where to program the bee bot to go.
There are 4 kinds of cards that you may use to prepare your stack of instructional cards. The cards are to be cut out and may be laminated for durability.
A background image is also provided for printing the reverse side of the cards.
1. 27 Picture cards. These are the matching pictures of the flowers on the mat.
2. 27 cards with a shape outline. (9 shapes on the page. It is a good idea to print this page 3 times in order to get the shapes more than once)
When a child picks up one of these cards he/she should identify the shape, find it on a flower and program the bee bot to go there.
3. 27 "Go to...." cards. These are cards with the instruction "Go to ......" naming a shape and its picture. (9x3)
4. 27 "Go to...." cards. These are cards with the instruction "Go to ......" naming a shape without its picture for more advanced readers.(9x3)
