This activity contains cards for /r/, /s/, /l/, /th/, /sh/ and /ch/ in all positions of words and also within blends.
*Please note: The words on these cards the same same words used for my Super Bowl and St. Pat's Day artic cards. I reuse words for my products because there are only so many "good artic words" to choose from!
Print one copy of each set of articulation cards (pages 3-6, 8-11, 13-16, 18-25, 27-29, 31-33), and page 34 (details what each picture means- keep your card, take one extra, or put all cards back)
Laminate and cut apart.
Divide the cards by their sounds.
Students take turns drawing cards and saying the word on the card at their level (word, phrase, sentence, structured conversation, etc.).
If a student draws a card with the girl traveler, he/she keeps the card and it is worth $1.00 towards vacation.
If a student draws a boy traveler, he/she keeps the card and it is worth $2.00 towards vacation.
If a student draws an airplane, he/she must put the card back.
At the end, each student adds up their cards- this is how much money he/she “saved” for spring break vacation! The student who saved the most money is the winner!
*Also Included: Game Board! After each student draws an articulation card, they may roll the dice and move their player along the board. The first person to make it to "Vacation" is the winner!
