It's Spring Break time, and we as teachers all have things we want to do and people we want to see. Students are also making their mental list of how they want to spend their time off from school. Even if kids are staying at home, they will be spending their time doing a variety of things, whether it's a local spring break day camp, going to the movies, playing with friends, sleeping late... the list goes on and on.
This is a fun little Spring Break Bucket List Booklet that you might have your students make the last few days or the day before Spring Break. Things can get a little crazy the day before a break, and if you are like me, you are looking for something fun and creative. This little booklet allows them the opportunity to cut, list things, write sentences, and color. Once the book is completed and assembled, it's the perfect opportunity for students to share. I love having class discussions about what kids hope to do or what they did over holiday breaks.
With this bucket booklet, there are 3 cover choices:
✱black line images for students to color
✱totally blank cover for students to draw their own design on the bucket
There are several pages you can use with predetermined categories/topics or you can provide students with lined pages and they can write their own ideas.
The predetermined pages include:
✱family and friends I want to visit
✱places I want to go
✱books I want to read
✱shows and movies I hope to watch
✱stores I hope to go to
✱things I hope to buy
✱foods I would love to eat
✱ways I can be helpful
✱Spring break will be.....
✱Something else about Spring Break
(Students can make a 6 page mini book using only 2 pieces of paper.)
✱Blank pages with lines are included
✱pages with photo frames are also included
If you use interactive writing notebooks in your class, students can put glue on the back of the last page of the spring break booklet and glue it into their notebook.
NOTE BEFORE BUYING: If you use the predetermined category pages, there are a few lines for kids to answer. This is not an in-depth book. It's just a simple and fun way to get your kids writing and talking. If they need more writing space, you can use the blank pages with lines.
Also, when cutting out the cover for the booklet, your more advanced cutters can cut out the center of the bucket handle. Those that have trouble with cutting can just leave it. No problems either way.
Have a fun Spring Break!! I know you deserve a time of relaxation and fun.
