Looking for hands-on spring categories activities with visuals? These spring sorting activities have got you covered whether you are looking to make colorful, reusable sorting mats or if you need print-and-go options!

Spring Categories Speech Therapy Activities include:

  • 12 Color Category Mats (laminate and add Velcro): Put out two or more mats and the corresponding pictures. You can even start with one mat for teaching the category and vocabulary.
  • 12 Black and White Category Mats: You can have your students color them for a vocabulary preview. (Or you can color them before laminating if you don’t have access to a color printer)
  • 72 Sorting Pictures: 6 for each category (In both color and in black & white)
  • 12 Category Labels: Attach to containers for sorting (like plastic bins or empty tissue boxes) and use with the blank sorting mats.
  • 10 Print-and-Go Worksheets: These black & white worksheets include pictures that can be cut from the bottom of the page and glued on. You can also have students color in the pictures for a vocabulary preview!
  • Bonus: Have students identify the category when given a group of items. You can use the included blank sorting mats for this.
