A center for you to add during a Spring Unit
This is a great center for students to practice their numbers from 0-20 with a fun spring/bug theme
Directions: Print off the colored copies on card stock and laminate. Cut the jar cards and the lid cards. I like to add a Velcro dot to help students stay organized. Students add the lids with the numbers onto the correct jar.

When students are finished sorting the cards as a center, they complete the worksheet for the teacher to check for understanding.
☆☆Spring ~ Student Choice Spring Words Book. ☆☆
This is a book for student to use to write th eir own spring words. There are 18 different spring words to choose from. There are also 18 picture cards for students to use to draw their pictures for their books.
Print, cut and laminate the picture cards. Print off the spring word pages and separate them into piles. Have students pick 5-10 pictures to write about. Have them use the pictures to color their own picture and use them to help describe their spring word. This is a great activity to have students write about what they want to write.

Here is a great activity to get those kids up and moving while working on the reading and writing skills.
Directions: print and cut the picture and word cards. Glue the cards back to back so the picture is facing one side and the words are facing another side. Laminate the cards. Hide the cards around the room and give students the worksheet and a clipboard to write on.
