Yay! Spring is on its way! Prepare by using these Spring Math Centers designed for Kinders. Written to Kinder Common Core Standards, they will be perfect for reviewing those important skills they need at this time. First Graders in need of some review may also benefit from using these centers.
Included in this unit are the following skills/centers:
~Count and Clip: In this center, students will be counting groups of ten, fives and ones using popsicle sticks (used like tally marks). They use a clothespin to clip their answer.
~Circle and Count: Students will be searching for the following 3d shapes: cones, cubes, cylinders, and spheres. They will circle the shapes using a dry erase marker.
~Making Ten: This center asks the students to match the number sentence to the correct tens frame picture. They are practicing making ten.
~Telling Time: Students will be matching the analog clocks to the digital clocks showing the same time. Clocks are to the hour only.
~Finding Sums: This center asks the students to compute basic addition problems and match the problem to the answers given.
~Finding Differences: Here students will compute basic subtraction problems.
~Counting Back: Students will count back from a given number.
All the centers have a cheery theme, using engaging clip art, sure to brighten their day. There are recording sheets included with each center also for additional practice.
Please see the preview for a glimpse of some pages from each center. Not all pages are shown, but you'll get to see the idea behind each center included.
