Spring is in the air! This spring-tastic "Count and Match - How many baby chicks?" activity book will keep your students actively involved during Math Center! Once added to your collection, this EASY-to-assemble counting activity book will be used year after year. Exceeding the requirements for Kindergarten Common Core Standards of counting up to 20, additional pages and matching "eggs" are included to challenge your students with counting up to 25. Easily divided into two sets to meet the developmental and academic needs of your students (ex. divide sets to have numbers 1-10 in one book), allows all of your children to participate in this activity.

PRINTING SUGGESTIONS: Print this activity book on white card stock paper and laminate for durability (it will last for many years!). EASY-to-assemble...just print, cut, and attach with two binder (looseleaf rings)! Use in YOUR classroom TODAY!

This activity meets the following Kindergarten Common Core requirements:

K:02.CC.:02 Count forward beginning from a given number within the known sequence (instead of having to begin at 1.)

K:03.CC.:03 Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects). Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
a. When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order. Pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with only one object.

K:04.CC.:04
b. Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted. The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted.
c. Understand that each successive number name refers to a quantity that is one larger.
K:05.CC.:05
Count to answer “how many?” questions about as many as 20 things arranged in a line, a rectangular array, or a circle, or as many as 10 things in a scattered configuration; given a number from 1-20, count out that many objects.
