Use the recycling activities on the following pages, together with the vocabulary lists and egg color chart to learn vocabulary, sequencing, direction following .
Direction Following/ Sequencing:
Use the included photos to have students retell the steps for making the project. Cut out photos and rearrange the order. Students can sort and sequence the pictures.
Recycled birds nest game:
After completing the craft, cut the vocabulary word strips and place them inside plastic eggs. Put all your eggs into a bag so players can’t see which one they are grabbing. Pick an egg and follow the color chart to complete one of the five language tasks. Count up the points to determine the winner!
Collect the Cottontails:
*(use with included vocabulary for creating definitions, sentences, and examples or for addressing articulation goals.
Set up the game using the included directions. Students take turns providing responses, then pick an egg and open it.
If student picks an egg with all white cottontails, they keep them.
If student picks an egg that contains white and one pink cottontail, they get to take another turn.
If they pick one that contains white and black cottontails, they need to give up those cottontails to the player next to them!
The winner is the student who has collected the most cottontails at the end of the game.
The game goes pretty quickly so refill the eggs and play another round!
