Spring is in the air, and these cut & paste pages will keep your little ones (who are suffering from spring fever) very busy!
Best of all? These pages require absolutely no prep!! Just print & use! There's no wasted paper and no colored ink required!
Discuss the student’s target sound with him/he. Practice/drill as you desire. Have your students color the scene as well as the flower petals and pictures that contain their target sound. You could also have them tell where they hear the sound (beginning, middle or end position). Next, have students cut out each flower petal and paste it onto the flower (over the dotted outline of the petal). Students should only be allowed to do so after saying the depicted word on the petal X number of times.
* especially great for groups because your students will have something to do while they wait their turn to drill
If they are working at the phrase or sentence level, give them a carrier phrase with which to say the word, or have them make a sentence with each depicted word. After each petal is glued onto the page and the flower is complete, students should cut out the circle with their target phoneme and glue it in the middle of the flower, covering all petals.
As an added bonus, you can send the finished product home for more practice! Of course, you can also display them as student work to brighten up your room or the hallway!
All of my activities are tested with my own students in my speech room prior to selling, and this one got my students' stamp of approval :)
