Here are some super-fun -op word family activities, perfect for a springtime review.
An -op “bunny hop” word slider craftivity, featuring 16 words.
There’s a black & white (2-on-a-page) one for students, with a larger, full-color, teacher’s sample.
* I’ve also included a pattern with the -op letters next to the slider “window”, as well as one without these letters.
* An -op word family poster with an alphabetical list of 49 words.
Since quite a few of these words might be new to your students, (kop, trop, strop…) I’ve also included a cover to make an —op word family dictionary.
* An “ABC Me” worksheet
* A “Fill in the blanks” missing -op word, fix the sentence worksheet.
* A set of 18, -op word cards.
Students can put them in alphabetical order, as an independent center, or partner up to see who can do it the fastest.
Another idea, is to have children choose 2-3 cards and use the words in a sentence.
I’m Diane from Teach With Me, hoping your students enjoy practicing the -op family of words with a sweet little bunny.
Wishing you a super spring.
