Have some fun with math this Spring!
In this activity the students will count collections of place value blocks and then color their answer on a 100s Chart. It is like a color by numbers only using place value blocks and a 100s chart.
Place value is a very important concept for primary children to work on. Being able to relate numbers to corresponding images, such as place value blocks, will greatly help them with their addition and subtraction work, especially when they start working with two digit numbers.
This file contains two sets of three pages. The sets are of a Spring Chick & an Easter Bunny. In each set you will receive:
1) A 100s chart with the facial features of that president on it.
2) A page of place value images for the students to count.
3) An answer key showing the final image.
The final images your students will create is are of a chick & a bunny! This set was designed so that the chick would be an easier image to create and the bunny slightly more challenging. This would be great for multi-age, multi-ability classrooms as each grouping could work on a Spring image suitable to their level.
This bundle is also available as an 11x17 file so that one sheet can contain both the place value clues and the 100s chart. Please visit my store to get that file.
You can also find other 100s Chart coloring sheets for place value, addition, subtraction, & multiplication in my store.
