This simple Spring Feelings Packet is a great way to discuss emotions with your preschoolers or early elementary aged students.
I will use this packet to review emotions and early perspective taking. Then I will leave the poster posted on my wall for easy reference as these topics come up in speech.
Use this mini packet to target social skills and feelings for children ages 3+.
Print one feelings poster to use for discussions with the group (page 3).
Print pages 4-7 and use for group discussions about what events make you have different feelings. Talk about how your feelings change in different environments.
On pages 8-9, let the student look at the different picture scenes in the flower pots. Draw a flower with an appropriate facial expression to match each flower pot.
Use page 10 as a coloring sheet. Talk about why the girl is smiling. Draw or describe things that make you happy. Draw and describe things that make others happy.
Pages 11-14 have a flower and ask the student to color the corresponding emotion.
