You’ll receive the following:
28-Task Cards relating to spring
Definitions of Terminology
18-Literal or Figurative Sort Cards
I often teach about figurative language in the context of reading and writing. It’s always concerned me that once we’ve worked with these terms, there’s not a lot of opportunity for review as the year progresses. To this end, I’ve created the Spring Figurative Language Task Cards, which are aligned with the Common Core Standards. Each card has a sentence using figurative language and three answer choices for students to consider. Use the Spring Figurative Language Task Cards as a center station, for an introductory activity to your daily class, for whole-class instruction, for a partner review activity, etc. Additionally, I’ve included a terminology page, which reviews the figurative language used on the cards (simile, metaphor, hyperbole, personification, onomatopoeia, and idiom) for students to use and save.
As a bonus, you'll receive 18-Figurative or Literal Sort Cards and placemats.
To ensure the longevity of the cards, glue them to tag board or construction paper and laminate them.
