Spring is in the air and fractions abound in school. Just as we are about sick to death of fractions, I created these fun task cards and interactive notebooks activities and craftivity to help put the spring back into our steps. Boost their critical thinking skills!
The task cards are word problems with a spring theme and are aligned with CCSS Math for 3rd , 4th and 5th grades. Thus, easily differentiated for your group of kiddos.
The flower activities are also differentiated and can be used as interactive notebook additions or as a craftivity to decorate the walls with beautiful fraction flowers. I have used these fraction flowers as both a review and as an assessment activity.
You will find:
24 task cards with word problems to solve .*(cards with asterisks are more challenging)
Note catchers for explaining thinking with the problems.
4 fraction flower interactive notebook activities and templates.
1 craftivity template for the fraction flower.
Recording table for scavenger hunt.
Easiest to simply print and go, but of course the task cards can be laminated for use over and over again.
