PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

"Can you help me find this book?" This question is the most common in the library if students don't know how to read call numbers and shelves. Playing this game reinforces independent library skills in a fun, active way, and it is an easy way to check for mastery of this vital library skill.

The pdf comes in both color or black and white so everyone can print it.

This resource contains:
{1} Rules for the Spring Into the Stacks game
{2} 18 call number cards for the Biography section, 12 with common call numbers (in the US) and 6 blank
{3} 18 call number cards for the Easy section, 12 with common call numbers and 6 blank
{4} 18 call number cards for the Fiction section, 12 with common call numbers and 6 blank
{5} 18 call number cards for the nonfiction section, 12 with common Dewey decimal call numbers to the 1st decimal (no author names) and 6 blank

I have used call numbers that I think are common to most elementary libraries. The biographies are common in the US. This works well for grades 2-4. My students have enjoyed it, and I think that you will, too.
