1. Create A Flower: Describing Vocabulary for Spring/ Summer EET
Use this EET coded flower to describe the spring/summer words from the word list on page 3! You can use any picture cards or target vocabulary as well

3. "Wake Up, It's Spring!" Book Companion Language Pack
Read the book "Wake Up, It's Spring!" by: Lisa Campbell Ernst and then have your students complete the following fun activities!

Sequence Activity: Have students sequence the characters from the story. They can draw their own or cut and paste the black and white images provided. You may also laminate and cut out the colored pictures and have the students Velcro the characters in the correct order.

Sequence Mat: Have students place the character pictures in the correct order as you read the story or after as a retell using the sequence mat

Spring Scene: Have the students use the “Spring Scene” and “colored characters” picture to retell and reenact the book

Draw A New Animal: Think of another animal that may wake up in spring and draw a picture of it!

Comprehension Questions: After reading/ listening to the story answer these comprehension questions
4. Spring Garden Language Pack: EET, Compare/Contrast, Prepositions, Irreg Verbs
Language Pack!
Print cards on cardstock && Print multiple copies of page 8 for each target activity.
Describing EET: Student draws a card and describe the object using the EET. Student with the most cards wins. Keep an eye out for special cards! (Page 8). EET visual aid provided along with ***follow-up worksheet (pgs. 3-4).

Comparing/Contrasting: Students draw a card and compare/contrast the two pictures. If the student is correct they keep the card. Draw a special card (page 8) and get an extra turn! 5. Spring EET Expanding Expression Tool Flower/Garden activity
Do some of your students have difficulties describing, classifying, naming,..etc..? The EET helps students describe vocabulary in many ways (group, function, attributes, parts, place,..etc..). The EET visual is great for expanding descriptions and great for speaking and writing about vocabulary! This activity pack will help target descriptions receptively and expressively!

6.Planting Flowers Sequencing, Adjectives, Recording, Writing Activities
Spring has Sprung! And that means gardening season!
Students can have fun pretending to plant flowers or actually planting a flower!

They will sequence the steps on how to plant a flower and can record their observations! (through cut and pate sort, writing steps, sorting pictures)
