This language pack includes a variety of activities/games:

BLOOMIN’ VOCABULARY
This engaging spring-themed activity targets the following skills: synonyms, antonyms, multiple meaning words, categories, and associations. Students roll a die (foldable die included in the pack) that determines what color petal is collected. (Each colored petal is associated with one of the five target vocabulary areas.) When one petal of each color is collected, the student “wins.”

Each of the five vocabulary areas (synonyms, antonyms, multiple meaning words, categories, and associations) contain 16 petals. Additional petals are included for personalized student learning.

Common Core Language standards: K.4, 1.4, 2.4, 3.4, 4.4, 2.5, 3.5, and 4.5

BUGGIN’ DIRECTIONS
Spring means bugs, and this following directions activity has students placing these cute, cartoon bugs in a jar. It includes 10 temporal, 10 Sequential, 10 Spatial, and 10 Conditional directions with the ease of creating more of your own if needed.

SPRING INFERINCING VOCABULARY
This activity focuses both on inferencing and spring vocabulary. Students are given three clues and then find the related spring picture on their card. This activity comes with five different BINGO cards and 24 inferencing cards.

BUZZIN’ GRAMMAR
In this activity students race to collect honeycombs for their beehive while improving their grammatical skills. Students complete and formulate sentences for an opportunity to turn over a bee card. Each bee card helps students earn 1, 2, or 3 honeycombs to add to his/her beehive. Watch out! Some bee cards take away honeycombs! The first student to fill the beehive with honeycombs is the “winner.”

This activity focuses on five specific areas: subjective pronouns, objective pronouns, irregular past tense verbs, irregular plurals, and coordinating conjunctions. The activity comes with 16 grammar cards for each of the five target areas (80 total) and 32 bee cards.
