This is a great resource to use in literacy centers during the spring months to help your students practice a variety of literacy skills. There are 6 literacy centers and 5 writing graphic organizers. The literacy centers are: 1, 2 or 3 syllables, digraphs, contractions, long vowels (silent e and 2 vowels walking), compound words and basic sight word rhymes. The graphic organizers are: compare and contrast, story sequence, reading response- characters, setting and important details, reading response- fiction or non fiction and details idea map. There is a recording sheet and a writing extension activity for each center so that you know what your students are doing while in their centers. All activities have a fun spring theme and are aligned to the Common Core Standards for Kindergarten and 1st Grade.
