This unit includes 10 Literacy Stations:
Fix the sentence- students fix problems they find in the sentences and
rewrite them correctly.
Read and Write the Room “Spring Time”- students find words in the room that begin with those letters and record it. There is also a page that students can use to find words that end with “Spring Time”.
Spring Magnetic Spelling- students use magnetic letters to build the words. If you don’t have magnets and magnetic boards, they can use any kind of letter manipulatives!
10 Color Spring Words-cut and laminate for
ABC Order- Students manipulate the words so they are in alphabetical order and record it on the recording page. There are 2 differentiated recording pages.
Spring Syllables- 2 Differentiated Syllable stations. Students either copy the word
or push the sounds in the spring word and circle the syllables.
Dictionary Drive- students use a dictionary to find the spring words. If your set doesn’t have the words included there is a blank page for you to create your own. You could also allow students to find spring related words on their own.
Listening Station- Beginning, Middle and End listening station. One page is for illustrating and the other is for students to write.
Kite Blends- Print kites on cardstock and laminate. Have students sort the words under the correct kite by the beginning blend. Record words on kite blend recording page.
Cloudy Word Families- Cut out and laminate the word family clouds and letter clouds. Students manipulate letters to create words and record their words on “Cloudy Word Families” recording page.
