Developmentally appropriate Spring Numbers math centers for the preschool, pre-k, and kindergarten classroom! This resource is perfect for all developmental and cognitive levels of early childhood. The centers are fun, engaging, and offer challenges and reinforcement of basic skills.
This resource is set up with 3 levels of developmentally appropriate Spring themed Numbers and Numeral Identification centers for differentiating instruction in the early childhood classroom. Every class is different, every student is different, so this resource gives you the option of starting out slowly, building on what your students know, and offering a challenge as skills are mastered.
Level 1: Match the Number, Complete the Picture
This beginning level starts with seeing a number, saying the number and finding it’s exact match on a mat. Match all the numbers 1-10 and complete the pictures! There are 6 pictures to complete in this activity!
Level 2: Spring Find and Mark the Number!
This center activity builds on the first by matching numbers 1-10 and 1-15. It is a straight match seek and find, but there are multiple numbers to find. This activity will strengthen numeral recognition and challenge those just learning!
Level 3: Build it! Numbers 0-15
This activity builds on the first two. Students will see an outline of a number and use blocks, unifixcubes, building tiles, etc.to fill in the blank space and build the number! This activity combines numeral identification with numeral formation! Students will use prior knowledge to recognize numbers and reinforce knowledge of numbers 0-15 by building each of those numbers in this center.
Find the Center activity that works best for your students.
