Looking for an elementary music spring lesson plan? Would you like for it to include speaking, rhythm (eighth notes, quarter notes, quarter rest) musical instruments and form?

Your elementary music students will LOVE the music activities and the interactive slides included in the lesson plan, the PowerPoint, tablet or Web version of the visuals. The music lesson will be an excellent addition to your Orff lessons and Kodaly lessons!

A perfect speech to teach to your elementary music students anytime but especially during the month of April! Reading rhythmic patterns consisting of quarter notes, quarter rests and 2 eighth notes beamed is addressed. Adaptations and extensions are also addressed.

The set of Lesson Plans and PowerPoint interactive slides include:

• 3 lessons each 5-8 minutes (3 pdf pages) plus an original speech poem. The lesson plans include detailed instructions for teaching the poem and rhythmic activities with first, second or third grade. The lesson is also appropriate for Kindergarten with adaptations. Adaptions and extensions are addressed.

• 37 slides (with 7 slides being teacher and/or student interactive) may be used to reinforce rhythmic reading and aurally identifying rhythmic patterns. You will have everything you need to teach all the lessons. If you do not have access to PowerPoint just use the shared link to access the visuals via your tablet or Web Browser.

It is an excellent piece to address curricular concepts while enjoying making music.

I loved the length of this lesson. I was able to use this over the course of two class periods to help my students. We used rhythm sticks and did some sections together and some sections as individuals to show off what we had learned.
