Some of the most important letters for a child to learn are the letters in their name. Name letter recognition develops a sense of ownership as well as showing that letters are used to make up words.
Who Can Play?
Print the stem page for each child.
Write names on the center of the flowers.
Each child will be given a stem page. Depending on their learning levels you can give them their names or let them find their names from the group. You can do the same thing with the petals.
Petals with the letters will be glued around the center with their name.
This is a fun activity to do right before Spring. Use the flowers on your Springtime bulletin board. you could also do this for Mother’s Day and send them home to mom. Use it before school starts and have their names displayed on the first day of school.
