Due to popularity and your feedback, this resource is modeled after my Fall & Winter No-Prep Mats with some *bonus content: graphing and flashcard mats. *
*Note: Fall & Winter Packs will be updated to match the current Spring 2018 pack by Fall and Winter 2018 – be on the lookout for those updates in the upcoming future.
This no-prep resource saves your important planning time from cutting small pieces and your printer ink! #ChaChing$ Just toss in some manipulatives & colored paper and you’re good to go for a bundle of math centers for the months of March, April, and May.
Each month/season is presented in the same way but using new images to ensure learner consistency and build up stamina. The main goal is for your students to gain routine practice and be successful with number fluency. The use of spinners, dice, and cards allows for the numbers to be differentiated to meet the various needs of your students each month.
The resource is broken down into sections by skill – There are at least 3 different images per skill area to use each Spring month: March, April, and May.
Data: 2 Different Graphs w/ Matching Spinners/Recording Sheets
Comparison Mats: 6 Styles
Addition Mats: 6 Styles
Representing Mats: 5 Mats
Subtraction Mats: 4 Styles
Flash Card Mats: 2 Styles
+ Matching Recording Sheets & Spinner Styles (Blanks, too)
* The mats include: circling greater than/less #s, completing addition/subtraction sentences, and representing numbers on a ten frame.
I place my recording sheets into a sleeve (printed front & back) and pair with an expo. It’s my way of making the center “safe” for mistakes but also holding the students accountable for showing their work.
Suggested Manipulative Parings:
Jumbo Dice, Chalkboard/Dry Erase Dice, Double Dice, Multi-sided Dice, a Deck of Cards, Flashcards or a Spinner of Choice.
Pair with an expo or other classroom manipulatives for students to use per mat in order to complete the activity properly.
*I tend to use mini erasers, poms, beans/noodles, or playdough with my math mats.
I hope your students enjoy these no-prep mats as much as my students! I’ve seen lots of academic growth using these – not to mention center stamina! I hope your results are just as pleasing. I would LOVE to hear any type of feedback about the product or student success stories in the comment! As always, thanks for all you do to help your students! Thank you for your ongoing support! :) – Alicia @PrimaryScouts
