A fun and engaging way for students to make inferences and critical thoughts, as well as use context clues to determine the meaning of unknown words.
First, students will use inferential thinking to predict what a poem is about. Second, students will tune into unknown vocabulary by using context clues to decipher the words meaning. Third, students will analyze the meaning of a poem. Fourth, students will make connections to the poem by writing about what spring means to them. Throughout the lesson, students will be practicing their reading and writing fluency.
