Gentle Suggestions/Tips/Reminders:
*Because this resource has been created using “landscape” orientation (11 x 8.5), you may want to make a “test copy” BEFORE copying a class set. Pages that are produced in “landscape” (11 x 8.5) sometimes have to be arranged a certain way in order to be copied correctly.
*Depending on the needs and levels of your students, you may wish to pick and choose which pages you’d like for your students to complete.
*Because the pages can be used in any order, they have not been numbered. If you’d like, you may have your kiddos number the pages themselves.
*The poem should be read and modeled by you a few times BEFORE letting the students practice reading it themselves. Eventually, the poem is to be read as a way of getting your kiddos excited about writing their jokes, riddles, puns, and one-liners.
*The graphic organizer and joke tracker pages are to be copy as they are needed. In addition, the “Draw It!” pages are meant to be used, then copied when more are needed.
*For your convenience, a “Certificate of Achievement” is included with this resource. Reward your kiddos for their hard work on coming up with funny jokes, riddles, puns, and one-liners!
