This is a set of 5 spring-themed sentence scrambles for your students to practice building and reading complete sentences. Each of the sentences is made up of 8 word cards. All of the cards from each sentence feature the same picture, which relates to the theme of the sentence. All sentences could be shortened by removing a few words -- for example, "Can you smell all the pretty little flowers?" could be shortened to "Can you smell the flowers?" to support the needs of struggling readers. Sentences are suitable for students in the spring of first grade, but could be used for second graders who need extra practice or kindergarteners who need a challenge.
I have also included a recording sheet, with writing grids for students to write all 5 sentences next to their corresponding pictures, and a space for students to illustrate one of the sentences.
