This activity is designed to help students construct sentences that are at least 4 words long. It can also help teach spring vocabulary words. Have your students repeat the sentence using the pictures and boxes as visual cues. I have my students point to each box as they say the words. The sentences all follow a predictable structure to encourage students to start making the sentences more independently by the end of the activity. They all use the form “I see ______ in/on the ______.” You can also simplify these sentences so that just one word goes with each box. For example, “I see a chick in the flowers” could be simplified to “see chick in flowers.”
I have also included picture cards that match each sentence.
