Description

These scaffolded sight word sentences will help your students work on writing complete sentences, using finger spaces, and sight word application. They are also designed to support students in adding more details to their illustrations and making their words and pictures match.

Designed for the spring season, these writing prompts are great for rotations or literacy centers. They are themed for spring holidays or traditions. Teachers can give these prompts to students for independent practice or can use them in small group writing instruction.

There are 12 prompts total (please see preview for examples) and include the following sight words:

*These words are NOT based on one particular sight word list (eg. Dolch, Fry, etc.). Research shows that it does not matter which list is used, only that sight word instruction happen in context!*

If you own the Fall Sight Word Writing Prompts or the Winter Sight Word Writing Prompts, you will notice that many sight words are repeated and more complex words are added each time!
