Let's have some fun with spring!
Practicing adding and subtracting can be fun with these story problems!
These story problems allow students to have fun with math. Students get to color a peep or chick and solve the number sentence. They glue the peep or chick into their notebooks and write a story problem or draw a picture underneath. (Please see pictures for a better explanation.)
Students get to be creative, practice their math skills and master precise cutting and gluing.
The finished product is adorable and perfect for a spring bulletin board.
These story problems are also great for in a pinch sub plans! They are self explanatory and time consuming for kids. Rest assured that your students are spending their time doing quality work while you are not there.
They are practicing their addition and subtraction but also getting to the highest level of Bloom's Taxonomy... CREATION! Students can draw a picture using ten sticks and ones cubes or for your higher level thinkers, they can write a story problem.
