Let's have some fun with spring!
My class always needs to practice with multiplication and division and they despise doing problems in their math book. So why not make it fun?
These story problems allow them to have fun with math. Students get to color a peep or chick and solve the number sentence. They glue the peep or chick into their notebooks and write a story problem underneath. (Please see pictures for a better explanation.)
Students get to be creative, practice their math skills and master precise cutting and gluing.
The finished product is adorable and perfect for a spring bulletin board.
These story problems are also great for in a pinch sub plans! They are self explanatory and time consuming for kids. Rest assured that your students are spending their time doing quality work while you are not there.
They are practicing their multiplication and division but also getting to the highest level of Bloom's Taxonomy... CREATION!
