In the Early Elementary Pack are 36 (18 Pairs) of both Synonyms and Antonyms (72 Cards Total). Each pair has 2 different pictures (Synonyms– A sprout and pot of flowers. Antonyms – A caterpillar and a butterfly) So if a student picks 2 of the same picture, they know it is wrong.

Included in the Later Elementary version are 30 (15 Pairs) of both Synonyms and Antonyms (60 Cards Total). Each pair has 2 different pictures (Synonyms – A girl with a wheelbarrow and a purple flower. Antonyms – A boy with a watering can and a yellow flower).

Therapy Suggestions: 1. Play a Matching Game where all of the cards are laid out, face down. The students will take turns picking words and trying to find the correct match. 2. Go Fish – Play a game of Go Fish in which the students ask if someone has a correct match for their synonym or antonym. 3. Sentence Construction – Write out sentences on a white board and place the card in a blank space. If working on synonyms, each sentence should mean the same thing. If working on antonyms, the sentences should be different e.g., “That dog is really ____” (big/large). The sentences should mean the same thing if you are working on synonyms.
