★ Vocabulary: Learn Tier 2 Vocabulary with spring time themes with vocabulary cards. Send the worksheet home for more practice. (CCSS.ELA-Literacy.L.6)
★ Grammar: Practice irregular plurals with cards and a memory style game activity. The worksheet works on verb tenses. (CCSS.ELA-Literacy.L.3.1)
★ Think and Explain: Use critical thinking skills to figure out the answers to spring time riddles receptively. Expressively, work on language skills by with explaining skills. The worksheet is the perfect way to practice explaining skills in with families. (CCSS.ELA-Literacy.SL.3)
★ Asking Questions: Receptively, determine the correct questions with multiple choice cards. Then play a fun board game while asking questions to others. The worksheet includes a prompt for what questions to create. (CCSS.ELA-Literacy.SL.3)
★ Story Comprehension: After listening to a custom made story for this unit, students answer comprehension questions using a fun spinner activity. Then students create a story map and retell the story. Finally, students are able to take a take the story home for more practice! (CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RL.1, CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RI.2)
