This Spring Word Puzzles PowerPoint includes five kinds of word puzzles for a fun vocabulary activity with a seasonal theme. The puzzles include riddles, rhymes, analogies, alliteration puzzles, and words to unscramble,
all with a spring theme and in bright spring colors.
There are five of each type of puzzle. Each clue and each answer is presented on a separate slide.

For the analogies,
students fill in the missing word.
For the alliteration
puzzles, students are given a clue and asked to provide a two word phrase for the answer. Both words begin with the same letter, and students are given this beginning letter.
For the words to unscramble,
students are given a descriptive clue along with each group of scrambled letters.
Word puzzles support a number of the reading comprehension standards for literature and informational text, particularly those that involve making inferences and understanding word relationships.
