As a school based occupational therapist, I am constantly trying to find ways to motivate and engage my students in handwriting activities and the writing process. I developed these Spring themed writing activities after multiple experiences of student success with writing activities when provided extra supports such as picture prompts, adapted lined paper, and visual prompts for describing. These writing activities are an excellent resource for combining handwriting and written expression practice with Spring themed lessons. The coloring, drawing, and writing pages have been designed with visual boundaries for students who have difficulty with sizing and placement of letters. There are also visual picture cues for adding details to sentences. An editing checklist, sentence prompt cards, and key for the picture cues are included, too! These are great resources for occupational therapists, speech therapists, and teachers. They are perfect for use with a group when co-treating or collaborating!
This set includes:
10 Spring-themed Color and Write or Draw and Describe writing prompts
I hope you and your students enjoy these writing activities as much as I do!
Thank you!
Emily Bales
