Persuasive writing is a fun writing unit to teach! This resource makes persuasive writing come alive and gives it a fun spring twist!

Included in this resource:

6 Spring holiday-themed persuasive writing prompts

-Prompts come in single strips to cut and pass out or as colorful posters that can be posted and displayed in your classroom.

-1 Groundhog's Day/Spring Weather Prompt

-1 St. Patrick's Day Prompt

-2 Spring Break Prompts

-1 Easter Prompt

-1 Mother's Day Prompt

2 different versions of a persuasive writing planning page/graphic organizer

-1 version is 5 pages long, broken down into individual paragraphs with persuasive planning prompts for guidance

-1 version is a shortened version of the 5 page planning page, broken down into 1 page

9 bright, colorful posters that highlight the different persuasive techniques WITH NO-THEMED CHARACTERS. These posters have clipart with writing students on them to be used all year long.

-These posters can be printed for students' writing folders or they can be posted in your classroom during your persuasive writing unit.

Final copy publishing pages

-14 bright, colorful publishing pages that are themed to match the different spring holidays (example: 1 four-leaf clover background, 1 Easter background, etc.)

-14 black and white publishing pages with doodle borders

12 pictures to adhere to publishing pages to create a display inside or outside of your classroom during the Spring Holiday Season.

-Examples include: Easter Bunny, Leprechaun, Groundhog, Sun, etc.
