This resource is designed to provide a fun way for students to practice decoding and blending words with digraphs, but with a focus specifically on words with “sh.” Students move their game pieces around the game board by rolling the dice and decoding the words they land on. Included is a worksheet that focuses on words with “sh” that can be used as a wrap up after the game. It is a game that students can use independently with a partner or with a group during literacy or word work centers. It can also be used by a general education or special education teacher with a group of students who may be struggling with decoding and blending but who are motivated by learning games. Great for special education students who have IEP goals in the area of Phonics.
Intended for grades K-2.
