Kids need to play in the mud and dirt, but I discovered that several of my special needs students never get dirty! My diverse darlings may be on the autism spectrum, have emotional disorders, live in low-income apartments with no yards and mamas who keep them spic and span, or just spend too much time on electronics. In Room 4, we like to play with, discuss, read, and write about dirt, mud, soil, lodo, or whatever word you prefer! Our Mud and Dirt Bulletin Board is eye-catching, and has lots or art and writing to show off!
