This is a perfect paper, pencil practice for Common
Core standards RF.1.1, RF.1.3,SL.1.5, SL.1.6, and
L.1.2. I also incorporate common noun, proper noun,
possessive noun, adjective, verb and adverb
identification as a whole-class activity. I also use
this as morning work. The sentences are centered
around a Springtime and pre-Summer theme. Holidays
and special occasions included are Easter, Dr.
Seuss's birthday, Spring, butterflies and end of
school. I have included hyperlinks for lesson
extension and enrichment.
