Springtime brings new beginnings and new adventures! Nature coming to life heightens children's curiosity.
This integrated unit provides hands-on science projects, thought-provoking questions, reinforces reading/language arts and math skills. Students will also enjoy the art projects as they explore the wonders of spring!

Comparing and contrasting seeds we eat and seeds we should not eat.
Planting a seed and a Seed Growth Log.
Science observation page.
Writing activities that sequence an event using temporal words and closure.
How to write a story.
Creative writing prompts that allow for personal connection.
Reading a poem and digging deeper into its content by using definitions, rhymes, chunks, spelling, and contractions.
Also included are garden math graphing, interpreting data, and summarizing the data.
Students will have fun making a silly face flower and a springtime blossom.
A wonderful list of trade books to read to the class is also provided.
