Close Reading + Spies = lots of fun and learning for you and your students! This mini book includes a project-able e-book version, too! This diary collection focuses on the journeys of female spies during and after the American Revolution, the Civil War, and WWII.
The spies mentioned in the diaries are: Virginia Hall, Elizabeth Van Lew and Sybil Ludington. Each diary contains higher-level vocabulary and situations which will lead your students to higher level and more rigorous thinking. Each diary is followed by a comprehension page which requires them to cite textual evidence.
