This is a square puzzle to review food vocabulary found in Realidades level I Chapter 3B. I print enough of these so that students can work in pairs. Keep one copy intact as an answer key. I find it helpful to laminate prior to cutting out the pieces so that I can reuse them without them getting ruined.
Students need to match the squares so that the English and Spanish equivalents are next to each other. What makes this a little more difficult than most other square puzzles is that the words along the right border match the words along the left border (but not in the same row.) The same is true for the top and bottom borders.
Students have to spend quite a bit of time with this to figure out just the right combination in order to fit the puzzle back together into a 4X5 recitingle.
