Square Root Bump is a 2-player game that allows students to practice matching the sum rolled on three dice to the square root that appears on the game board. Players take turns rolling three dice and finding the sum of the numbers rolled. Then, players find the matching square root on the game board and place one of their counters on it. But be careful, your opponent can "bump" you off and give you back your counter. The first player to play all of their counters wins the game. A separate direction sheet is included. This activity meets or exceeds the Common Core Standards of Mathematics and makes for a fun class game or standards-based learning center for students needing practice with square numbers and square roots.
