Students work together or individually to create a 4 by 4 puzzle such that every edge touches another edge with an equivalent value.
Included are 16 puzzle pieces, a student recording sheet, teacher's notes, and an answer key.
This is a great activity to use as a warm-up or practice after a lesson. It also works well for intervention, review, or spiraling.
I copy the puzzle on cardstock and laminate for durability. Using various colors also helps if pieces get left behind because you can easily find the set to which they belong.
