Squiggle Writing can be used as a writing activity. When the students get one of the writing pages, they can create a picture using the objects or lines that are already there. After they have created their picture, they can then write a story about the picture they have drawn. A checklist of the important elements of writing (capital letters, punctuation, spelling, finger spaces, and detail) are included at the top of each writing page. Using these in my classroom has been a huge success. Enjoy!
