SQUIGGLE STORIES?! I use these in my classroom every week. This is a great activity to use during ELA centers, as a stand alone activity, with guest teachers, or when students have extra time.
Students will create a picture based on the squiggle on their paper. Once they have drawn their picture they will write a story based on that picture. I have included an example of one of my students completed squiggles.
This resource includes: A blank squiggle page, an extra page of lines, and 4 different squiggles to get you and your students started. Once those squiggles are completed, you could draw your own squiggles for your students to write about OR have other teachers around the school draw squiggles for your class!
